Ok so by the title you might think, someone is alittle cranky... well maybe alittle bit... I have spent the last week or more, shopping for gifts, wrapping gifts, shopping for food, cooking food, cleaning up after cooking, cleaning the house, decorating just so, cooking more, eating of course, shopping more and wrapping more and all that was before Christmas.
Am I just getting older and now longer see the joy in all this work.... please tell me that there is more to the holidays then this... today I got up thinking what happened to Christmas Day, where did it go.... I spend the morning preparing breakfast, waiting for the kids to come, feeding them breakfast, washing dishes, preparing for dinner, setting the table, cleaning up after gift unwrapping no tearing open and then working some more... thank goodness for the girls or I would be in big trouble. Actually I would probably still be there....
Ok, I am not just complaining here, I do have a solution... next year I go to somewhere warm and forget all the fuss and money - actually for the money we spend we could have gone on a lovely vacation and enjoyed New Years eve in somewhere warm....
I say lets just do it for 2009!
